Lavender Mei is a multidisciplinary movement artist. Her work moves between pole, aerial silks and lyra, fire, tap and Latin dance, held together by athleticism, artistry and an unusually precise sense of musicality.
That musicality is trained, not incidental. A lifelong dancer with formal studies in music, Lavender builds choreography that answers the score rather than running alongside it. Her background runs from tap, jazz and ballet into pole, aerial silks and lyra, salsa, bachata and fire — strength and fluidity in the same body, and expressive storytelling in both.
The range is the point. On the ground, in the air, or with fire, she can carry more than one moment in an evening: an aerial feature over cocktail hour, a Latin set as the floor fills, fire after dark.
She performs with Sutra Productions at weddings, galas and private events across Southern California, and continues to explore new movement styles through showcases, festivals and community events.
